Police in LaSalle are investigating a day time break and enter into a residence in the neighbourhood between Sacred Heart Church and Saint Andrews Church.

Police say it was on October 10th that the culprit entered the residence by forcing the front door open. They were startled to find someone home and immediately ran away.

After an extensive search of the area, the officers were not able to locate the person responsible.

The culprit was described as a male, 6’1″ tall, tan skin, late 20’s early 30’s, brown hair, patchy moustache, wearing a red black and white T-shirt and a red baseball hat.

Police are encouraging all homeowners to consider installing surveillance cameras, as this has proven to be an invaluable tool in fighting and preventing crime. They also encourage everyone to apply the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, which provides information and tips on changing the environment around your home or business in an effort to minimize the opportunity for a crime to take place.
