Fire halls in the Town of Essex will host open houses this Wednesday as part of fire prevention week.
They will take place at all three town three fire stations from 6pm to 8pm.
Residents will be to meet local firefighters, check out their trucks and equipment, and ask questions about smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, home escape plans, and any other fire-related concern.
