Body Recovered From Lake Erie Identified

OPP have identified the victim found floating in Lake Erie on September 22nd, 2019.

OPP say that 54-year-old Robert Tonato of Windsor was pulled from the water at a beach on Erie Street South in Leamington, last Sunday evening at approximately 7pm.

Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services attended, and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, but police say the death has been deemed non-suspicious.
