Sandpoint Beach will finally open for the season today.
The beach opening has been delayed due to poor weather and extremely high water throughout the spring, but the clean-up and grading are in the final stages now.
Once those preparations are completed, staff will install the accessible mats and be ready for beach goers.
The beach is supervised by lifeguards daily from 1pm to 7pm daily and is weather and/or water quality dependent. Beach goers are reminded to obey posted signage and Health Unit advisory information.
