A large fire is out at Serbu Tire on Howard Avenue.
Firefighters were called around 6:20am to the blaze at the corner of Howard Avenue and Hanna Street East for reports of a massive blaze with a large plums of smoke.
By 8am, firefighters had the blaze substantially reduced and continued to fight it from aerial trucks.
The roof and front wall has collapsed and the fire was been contained to the tire shop with no extension to adjacent structures.
Officials were asking residents in the area and west of Howard to close windows and shelter in place due to the nature of the fire.
Damage to the structure is $400,000 and to the contents is $100,000.
The origin of the fire and cause is still under investigation.
There were no injuries.
