A local home builder has won a Homeowners’ Choice Award by Tarion.

Timberland Homes was presented with the award for the medium volume category after receiving the highest ratings from home buyers across the province.

The Homeowners’ Choice Awards are presented annually based on the results of surveys completed by new home buyers from across the province.

In 2018, Tarion polled 54,518 new home buyers asking them about their builder’s performance before, during and after they moved into their new home. More than 11,376 homeowners responded and their feedback determined the recipients for outstanding customer service in the four categories.

Tarion is a private, not-for-profit corporation that administers the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act and backstops the warranty coverage.
