A storyboard is planned for the subdivision where Checker Flag Speedway once stood.
The popular track operated from 1961 until 1992 on the south side of County Road 42, between Banwell and Lesperance Roads. The site is now home to the Cranbrook Subdivision.
The proposed storyboard will be placed in Cranbrook Park and will show the history of the speedway.
The display will cost $2,500 and will be covered by a donation.
