Lakeshore Receives Funding From Several Sources

The Town of Lakeshore has received funding from several sources in the past few days.
They received $620,201 in one-time funding from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. The funding is to support small and rural municipalities’ efforts to become more efficient and reduce expenditure growth in the long-term.
Lakeshore has also received funding from the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund, an annual allocation in the amount of $564,100. This fund primarily supports northern and rural municipalities.
They are also receiving a one-time doubling of the Federal Gas Tax funding, of an estimated $1.8 million.
The funding is use to support infrastructure and enhance services in the municipality.
