Environment Canada says that widespread significant rainfall is no longer expected over extreme southwestern Ontario.

Some areas received 10 to 20 millimetres during the night with an initial area of rain that moved through the region. This area of rain is weakening and is moving east of the region. For the remainder of the morning hours, only light precipitation is expected.

However, another area of rain at times heavy is expected to move into the region this afternoon and persist until the evening. Additional rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 millimetres are possible.

Although some areas may see total rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm by this evening, widespread rainfall totals in excess of 50 mm are no longer expected.
