The first real heat wave of the summer has arrived and Environment Canada has issued a heat warning.
The hot and humid conditions are expected into the early part of the week.
According to Environment Canada, temperatures are expected to be near 31°C or 87°F Sunday and Monday with overnight lows near 21°C or 70°F making this the first heat event of this year.
It is also possible that these heat conditions will persist into Tuesday. Temperatures will fall below heat warning criteria by the middle of this week.
