Amherstburg police confirm that they are investigating a fatal two vehicle accident at the intersection on Simcoe Street and Meloche Road.
The driver of a the second vehicle was transported to area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The road was closed for several hours as police investigated and opened around 12:40pm.
