Windsor Residents Win $100,000 With ENCORE

John and Sandra Krasinkiewicz of Windsor are celebrating after winning $100,000 with ENCORE.

“We like adding an ENCORE selection when we play the lottery,” shared John while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto with Sandra to pick up their winnings. “I purchased our winning tickets on my way back from dinner with my son. I stopped for gas and bought the ticket.”

Several days passed before John checked the ticket. “I went back to the same store to scan my ticket at the ticket checker. I was shocked! It was just before 7am and I couldn’t believe it. I thought I was seeing things.”

John handed the ticket to the retailer for validation. “This ticket was actually purchased on a whim so it was even more thrilling. I knew I won a good amount but when it was confirmed I couldn’t wait to tell my wife. I called her right away and told her we won some money. Sandra asked, ‘How much?’ When I told her the amount she was so happy and told one of our sons right away.”

Sandra says plans are already underway for the windfall. “We will be helping our two sons out with their university education. We are also planning a trip to Ireland in the spring. There are so many possibilities and we are still deciding. We would like to just enjoy this amazing feeling for now and see what comes up for the future,” concluded the pair.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on Ouellette Avenue in Windsor.
