Male Rescued From The Detroit River

A man had to be rescued from the waters of the Detroit River early this morning.
Police say that around 3:15am they were called to the waterfront in the area of Church Street after a report that a male may have jumped into the river.
Officers attended the area and observed a male submerged into the river, clinging to the breakwall.
Officers were able to pull the male out of the river and over the railing to safety.
EMS attended and transported the him to hospital for evaluation.
