Today is Random Act of Kindness Day in Windsor-Essex.
Each year many individuals, groups, businesses and organizations participate in the day by engaging in various acts of kindness throughout the city and county.
Several kindness events schedule for the day include a partnership with RBC Dominion Securities and Canadian Tire to deliver new basketballs, soccer balls, footballs and volleyballs to students at Frank W Begley Elementary School. Kindergarteners at Talbot Trail Elementary School will be handing out handmade inspirational picture frames to their teachers. Students at McWilliam Public School will be making and donating cat beds to the Humane Society, and BMO Financial will be at House of Sophrosyne delivering items.
In addition, the WECF will be engaging in its own Random Act of Kindness through VON, the Unemployed Help Centre, and Lakeshore Community Support Centre by delivering cookies through the Meals on Wheels Program.
