Volunteers Needed For The World Swimming Championships

The 13th FINA World Swimming Championship is looking for volunteer help for this Decembers event.
Approximately 600 positions are available in sport operations, venue operations, protocol, hospitality, communications, transportation and more.
“The best swimmers from around the globe will be competing at this world-class event. On the heels of the Olympics, and the success of Team Canada, the stars of Rio will be right here in Windsor.” said Mayor Drew Dilkens. Volunteers are so important to the success of the event and will have a unique opportunity to experience the excitement of the competition.”
Residents of Windsor will be given first preference in selection.
Officials say that applicants come from all over Canada, USA, South Africa, Europe and Asia. To be considered, you are asked to apply before the deadline of September 22nd, 2016 at www.finawindsor2016.com. Volunteers must be 18 years of age.
Selections will be made and positions assigned by early October.
