Union Gas presented The Safety Village, with a $3,000 grant to support the Village’s annual safety education programs and open house events throughout the year.
“At Union Gas, we are committed to the safety of our employees and our communities,” said Sean Collier, Union Gas District Manager Windsor/Chatham. “That’s why we support important safety educational programs in the communities we serve, such as those offered here at The Safety Village, which help children in Windsor embrace personal safety”
The cheque was handed over Wednesday to Michael Lucier The Safety Village Executive Director.
“The Safety Village provides hands on safety education in an interactive and safe environment to as many as thousands of children and families annually, and our numbers are growing,” states Lucier. “As of 2015, we welcomed more than 100,000 students who attended our school programming (a figure that does not include the thousands of children and families who attend the numerous programs and events we offer both on-and off-site). We are very grateful for this donation from Union Gas since it will enable us to reach out to and educate even more people within our community.”
