Annual Terry Fox Giant Used Book Sale This Weekend

The 2016 Terry Fox Giant Used Book Sale takes place this weekend and next.

Now in its 8th year, the book sale will take place in the same vacant store available as last year, in the former Box Office Video store located at Manning and Tecumseh Roads.

After a full month of hard work, some 78 different volunteers have handled more than 30,000 gently used books, and have spent over 1,200 volunteer hours sorting and displaying them.

Books in every genre and for all interests will be sold for $2 for hardcover, $1 for large softcover and 50 cents for paperbacks and kids books. All proceeds will be added to the total raised by the Tecumseh Terry Fox Run to be held on September 18th.

Also available at the store those dates is Terry Fox Run merchandise, info about the Run, and the creation of Memory and Dedication Boards, which are displayed along the route Run Day.

Hours for both Saturday and Sunday this week are 9am to 4pm.

It also runs next Saturday from 9am to 4pm.
