Windsor City Council has voted to put bids in for several sporting events.
Council approved a joint bid with London to host the World Junior Hockey Championship in December 2018.
If selected it is estimated to cost the city $400,000. London would be on the hook for $600,000.
Council also gave the go ahead to bid on the 2017 Para-swimming CAN/AM Championships, the 2018 Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships, and 2020 Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships.
Total cost for the three bids is $65,000.
