Due to the potential for a Canada Post mail service disruption, the City of Windsor is activating its contingency plan to ensure Ontario Works clients receive their cheques.
Recipients who receive payments through direct deposit will continue to do so, while direct deposit statements, Ontario Drug Benefits Cards & Dental Cards will be mailed. However, recipients who receive their Ontario Works payments by cheque will be required to pick those up in person.
September monthly assistance cheques will be available for pick up August 30th August 31st and September 1st.
Before proceeding to a cheque distribution centre, please call 1-800-808-2268 to ensure your cheque has been printed.
As of September 2nd, please contact your caseworker for further instructions on cheque pickup.
Windsor based clients will need to pick up their cheques at:

3325 College Avenue
Time: 1pm to 4pm
Leamington based clients will need to pick up their cheques at:
33 Princess Street, First Floor
