Some Essex County Library locations will reopen Wednesday after an investigation into bed bugs.
Officials say that the positive confirmation was made on Friday, June 10th at their Leamington location. As a proactive measure, they have arranged for a site inspection of all branch locations.
On Monday, June 13th, three locations were inspected with a trained sniffer dog. All three facilities showed limited areas of confirmed bed bug sighting. These locations were the Kingsville-Highline, Lakeshore-Toldo and the Administrative Office.
The Essex County Library decided to close all facilities and reopen them as they were able to inspect and clean as necessary.
On Wednesday, June 15th the following branches will be open to the public:
- Cottam Branch
- Comber Branch
- Kingsville-Highline Branch
- Lakeshore-Toldo Branch
- Leamington Branch
- Stoney Point Branch
- Woodslee Branch
All other branches will remain closed until an inspection is completed.
