Puppy Mill Investigation Underway

An investigation into an alleged puppy mill is underway.

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society says that they received information on June 9th regarding dogs being kept in poor conditions. The investigation led to a search warrant being executed on June 10th at a home on Bonita Street in Windsor.

Six dogs and one puppy were found in filthy conditions, and were removed to relieve their distress.

Humane Society officers are also investigating six dogs resembling the removed dogs who were found in extremely poor physical condition at various locations in the Windsor and Tecumseh areas.

All dogs are currently under the care of the Humane Society veterinary team and the investigation is ongoing.
