David Garrett, a grade 12 student at W.F. Herman Secondary School was awarded the gold medal in precision machining today at the Skills Canada competition being held in Moncton, New Brunswick.
His project, made using a conventional engine lathe and vertical milling machine, was judged to be the best among the participants from across the country.
