Essex Fun Fest Looking For Vendors And Parade Entries

The Essex Festival Committee is calling for vendors and parade entries for the 2016 Essex Fun Fest, a four-day annual community event scheduled for July 7th to 10th.

“The Festival Committee has been working hard for many months to ensure that this year’s Fun Fest is a resounding success,” says Festival Committee Chair Joe Garon.

Both food and merchandise vendors are needed. The vendor application containing detailed information on fees and setup requirements can be found on the “Applications, Licences and Permits” page of the Town’s website.

In addition, businesses and community organizations can complete and submit a Parade Entry Application also found on the website.

“This year’s parade takes place on Saturday, July 9th beginning at 11:00am from Fairview Avenue West,” says Garon. “To ensure the safety of participants during the lineup process, we are reversing the route so that parade floats and entries travel east from the fairgrounds on Fairview Avenue to Talbot, and then north on Talbot to Essex District High School.”

This year’s Fun Fest Parade will be a non-judged event. The theme for the parade is selected by the Fun Fest Committee several months in advance of the event. This year’s theme is the 2016 Summer Olympic Games. There is no cost to participate in the parade and all entries are accepted.
