Three houses suffered significant damage after a blaze broke out, Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the 1100 block of Hickory around 1:30pm to find thick black smoke coming from a home and heavy fire at the house’s rear.

The blaze spread to the houses on either side before fire crews could bring it under control.

Two children were in the residence at the time and were able to get out safely.

Investigation revealed that the fire started on the exterior of the residence at the rear.  Information has been received that their may have been someone on the back porch just prior to the fire.

Damage is estimated at approximately $440,000.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4330, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS), online at www.catchcrooks.com, or Submit a Tip on Facebook.
