An open house is planned for this Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 for members of the public, businesses and organizations to learn more about Open Streets and how they can be involved.

Open Streets are unique events that have been held in over 100 cities in North America and involve the temporary closure of roadways to vehicular traffic, allowing people to use them for a host of healthy and fun physical activities like walking, cycling, yoga, dancing and fitness.

The Open Streets Windsor route spans approximately 8 kilometres that starts in Sandwich, travelling through Downtown, Walkerville and finishing in Ford City. Designated streets will be closed to traffic and open to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to enjoy.

Open Streets Windsor events will take place from 9am to 1pm on Sunday, July 17th, 2016 and Sunday, September 18th, 2016

The open house will take place in the lobby of the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre from 3pm to 7pm.
