Good News, Todd Lane in LaSalle will be open to all traffic on Monday, December 14th, 2015.

School buses and Transit Windsor have been notified of the opening and are scheduling routes accordingly. Transit Windsor bus stops will be resuming their regular route on Monday morning.

Remaining work, such as landscaping and line painting will be done over the next couple of weeks with only localized lane closures.

The reconstruction included the installation of water main and storm sewers. The new road, bicycle lanes, clean boulevards with grass to the curb, and three-metre wide trail enhance the safety and design of Todd Lane and the surrounding areas.

“The reconstruction of Todd Lane was a major project for us this year. We are happy that the project was completed in a timely and efficient manner,” said Mayor Ken Antaya. “The new trail and bicycle lanes will connect with the paths along the Herb Gray Parkway providing access in and out of LaSalle. The development of trails and bicycle lanes has been identified as priority projects for Council in our Strategic Plan.”

Street light poles and light fixtures between Malden Road and Elmdale Road on Todd Lane should be installed in early 2016. In addition, the final layer of asphalt will be completed in the summer of 2016, as well as the final line painting.
