The City of Windsor is issuing an appeal to residents and local housing providers to explore additional opportunities to assist incoming refugees.
Even thought the city maintains an ongoing list of potential properties through Housing Information Services, they say that the unique possibility of welcoming a large number of refugees over a short period of time requires more spaces than are currently available.
If you have a property that could be rented out for this purpose, you are asked to consider contacting Housing Information Services at 519-254-4824.
There is a particular need for multi-bedroom units to accommodate larger families.
It is still unknown how many and exactly when the refugees will arrive. This call for housing is one more step in the process of ensuring Windsor will be ready.
