The Ontario government announced $15.23 million in funding for the construction a permanent home for 645 students at Giles Campus French Immersion Public School.

This comes as a result of the 2011 Program and Accommodation Review recommendations for South Windsor that created a site for French Immersion students living north of E.C. Row Expressway. The students are currently learning at the former W.D. Lowe Secondary School.

They also received $15.3 million to build a new D.M. Eagle Public School for 651 students.
