Small Plane Crash In Chatham

A small plane has crashed just east of the Chatham Airport Friday morning.
Shortly after take-off, the small plane suffered a mechanical failure. The pilot tried to return to the airport, however when unable to, he made an emergency landing on private property in a corn field.
Chatham-Kent Police say that the lone occupant of the plane was transported to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Transport Canada has been notified and the investigation is on going.
