Windsor Police continue to look for driver after a hit and run downtown Windsor earlier this summer.

On Thursday June 25th at approximately 2:30am Windsor Police were dispatched to a hit and run motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at Wyandotte Street East and Goyeau Street.

Officers arrived and observed a small group of pedestrians attending to a male who had blood on his arm. They also observed another male who sustained minor abrasions to his arm and leg. Paramedics arrived and attended to the injured parties.

Investigation revealed that a group of pedestrians were walking north on Goyeau Street across Wyandotte Street East. They advised that they had a green light and were half way across the intersection when they heard the revving of a car engine coming from the west on Wyandotte Street East.

One of the pedestrians said they saw the vehicle going east on Wyandotte swerve into the westbound lanes. The vehicle struck two of the pedestrians and sped away east on Wyandotte Street East. A 20 year old male was transported to hospital for serious but not life threatening injuries. Another 20 year male was treated on scene by paramedics for minor abrasions to his arm and leg.

They have now released a photo of the suspect vehicle.  They are looking for a late model grey or light blue four door Mazda.  The car may have or had possible front end damage as a result of the collision.
