Lightning struck an underground gas line in front of 1129 Belleperche around 3:15pm Thursday afternoon during heavy storms.

Windsor Fire crews and Union Gas were on scene and the gas was turned off just after 4:30pm after crews dug up the line on either side and pinched it to stop the flow of gas.
