Windsor’s drinking water has been named the “best tasting in Ontario” for the second time in four years.
The Best Tasting Water Award for 2015 was issued to the Windsor Utilities Commission by the Ontario Water Works Association. The city first received the award in 2011.
“We are delighted to once again be recognized in our role as a Provincial leader in the field of water technology,” says ENWIN vice president John Wladarski, which operates the Windsor water system owned by WUC. “Winning this award for a
second time reaffirms the benefits of ENWIN’s water treatment processes.”
Windsor was the first municipality in Ontario to utilize Ozone for primary disinfection according to officials.
Windsor also had zero boil water advisories each year in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
