Infrastructure investments totaling $815,000 at Fort Malden were announced Friday by MP Jeff Watson.

This investment will help maximize the use of available space, protect assets that support visitors experiences, and enhance programmes and activities at the site.

For 200 years, the Fort Malden fortifications have played important roles in Canada’s history. The Fort has served as an army garrison, a British Indian Department post, a dockyard for the Upper Great Lakes and as the meeting place between Chief Tecumseh and British General Isaac Brock.

Fort Malden National Historic Site welcomes more than 40,000 visitors every year.
