Wanted: Canned Food Donations During The Canada Day Parade

During Wednesdays Canada Day Parade, volunteers from the Windsor Essex Food Bank Associations will be collecting canned goods for 15 local food banks.

The association hopes to get lots of non perishables to be able to fill their shelves with food product that they greatly need. They say that they typically do not receive large donations during the summer months, but hunger does not take a summer vacation.

You can look for them with their grocery carts up and down the Wyandotte Street parade route.
