It’s graduation week for St. Clair College Students.

Greg Pearson plays the bag pipes as the graduates, professors and college officials enter the auditorium.

Dr. John Strasser, president of St. Clair College, speaks to the graduates about his time as president.
“It has been an honour to serve in this position for 15 years and I want to thank you and the entire community for that opportunity.”

New St. Clair College president elect, Patti France, recognizes the students receiving the faculty academic awards, student leadership awards and academic distinction awards.

Dr. John Strasser places a liripipe on the left shoulder of the students graduating from their respective programs to signify the acceptance into the community of St. Clair graduates.

“You have the ability to make a difference, seize that opportunity. You’re part of a larger force and you can’t control everything. Be honest, be true to yourself, try to find love and peace, and have fun.” – Dr. John Strasser

Parents, friends and family of the graduates lined up below the stage to take their graduate’s photo.

Chris Boussey – Graduate from the Electronics Engineering Technology – Industrial Automation program.
“I’m finally getting into a field that I love and it’s exciting because I’ve accomplished a lot in the last three years, I’m very proud of it. It’s a really good program, a lot of the professors really know what they’re talking about, they’ve had a lot of experience in the field and they really prepared us for what we are now going to experience.”

Vince Pugliese – Graduate from the Woodworking Technician program.
“The teachers, the friends, the program, it was just a great time. I’m graduating with my friends and it’s great.”
