Windsor Police are investigating after a cyclist was killed on Tecumseh Road.

The incident happened on Wednesday June 17th around 1pm at Tecumseh and Parent.

Police say a Chevrolet pick-up truck was northbound on Parent, stopped at a red light on Tecumseh.

The cyclist was eastbound on Tecumseh on the north side of the street. The truck made a right turn and the bicyclist collided into the truck.

Police were told the truck left the scene of the accident.

A 58 year old male was transported to hospital with serious injuries and subsequently passed away in hospital.

Police eventually met with the driver of the truck.

Police have spoken to witness but are still appealing for any additional witnesses and continue to investigate.

This is the second death of a cyclist this month in the area. A man was killed in a hit and run in LaSalle last week.
