Public School Board Proceeds With Examination Of International Baccalaureate Diploma Program

The Greater Essex County District School Board will continue to investigate a possible application to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program.
Trustees received an interim report from the Learning Choices Committee and have approved proceeding to the next steps.
The committee, which is headed by Superintendent of Education Terry Lyons, will begin to look for schools interested in offering the I.B. Diploma program and will evaluate the possible locations.
In addition, they will also continue to research best practices for the implementation of I.B. programs.
A report with final recommendations will be submitted to the Board of Trustees, for their consideration at a future meeting.
