Target has slashed prices again as it gets closer to closing its doors in Canada.
Mark downs are now between 50% to 70% off.
Fixtures and equipment such as shelves, office desks, and safes are also for sale, displayed on picture boards at the entrances of the Windsor store at Devonshire Mall.
Target’s original plan was to be out of the country by May 15th, but in documents filed in court this week, the liquidator for the company says they anticipate the pace of vacating stores will continue to increase over the next two weeks. All stores are expected to be closed to the public as early as mid-April.
Meanwhile Windsor’s location at Devonshire Mall continues to see long lineups of bargain hunters, and shoppers prospecting for gems within piles of unwanted merchandise.
The northwest corner and southwest corners of the store have been roped off by staff and its anticipated other areas of the store will be cordoned off as supply levels dwindle.
Target says that they have sold 55% of their inventory country wide so far.
