A tool and mold company in Oldcastle is expanding to create new jobs with help from the province of Ontario.
Aalbers Tool & Mold is adding 33 new jobs and retaining 106 existing positions after receiving almost $1 million in support from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund.
The company is investing in new machinery and employee training planned to enhance productivity and competitiveness.
Aalbers designs and manufactures precision components such as plastic injection molds to create such things as interior trim and consoles for companies like Chrysler, BMW, Ford and GM in the auto industry.
The province says the funding will help the company to pursue new opportunities in Ontario’s growing aerospace sector.
