Leamington Hires New Legal Director

Leamington has hired a new Director of Legal and Legislative Services.
Ruth Orton will be joining the Leamington management team from the Town of Kingsville where she served as Director of Corporate Services/Clerk for the past five years.
Before her tenure with Kingsville, Ruth was in private practice with Windsor Law Firm, Mousseau DeLuca McPherson Prince LLP, Barristers & Solicitors.
Orton is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and was called to the bar in 2003.
Orton will be replacing retiring Director Brian Sweet who has held the position for 28 years.
“Ruth’s knowledge, experience and management style will be a great fit for our team and will serve the community well” said Peter Neufeld, Chief Administrative Officer.
She takes over on April 13th.
