Emergency 911 service was out for Essex County over night and officials have discovered the cause.

They say the major outage to 911 phone lines, which caused calls to be dropped or even not answered, was caused by a computer server issue in Timmins and a cut fibre optic line in Toronto.

As of 9am, officials report all services are back up and running.

ORIGINAL STORY:

911 services in Essex County are experiencing technical difficulties and there are a few things to know should you experience an emergency.

For Kingsville Fire:  519-733-2313

For Leamington Fire:  519 -326-4431

For EMS:  519-258-2155

In Windsor, all 911 lines are working properly.
