At 7:42pm Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to penny size hail and torrential rain.
A line of severe thunderstorms over Lower Michigan may reach Essex County near 8pm. Winds gusts of 100 km/h, intense lightning and torrential downpours giving 25 to 50 mm of rain in under an hour are all associated with these thunderstorms.
