Despite snowy conditions today, the Belle Isle Grand Prix is two months away and organizers want to give Windsorites the opportunity to attend the event “hassle free”.
At an announcement this afternoon in Downtown Windsor, Mayor Eddie Francis announced another year of Transit Windsor ticket packages for race fans in Windsor to experience the three day, seven race event.
Francis says the tickets, priced at $56 and $76 for two different seating areas, offer ticket, transportation and tolls to make getting to the event and back an easy and fun experience.
The mayor stressed that by including Windsor in the event, the “eyes of the world” would be on us.
IndyCar driver Ryan Briscoe called the race “action packed” and expressed an excitement to involve Canada in the event.
Tickets will be available online soon on the city’s website or by calling 311.
