Fifteen hundred fewer people are unemployed in the Windsor area.
In December, 13,000 people were unemployed in the Windsor area. In January, that number fell to approximately 11,500.
In all, the unemployment rate fell from 7.8% in December to 6.9% in January.
Windsor’s unemployment rate is below the national rate, 7.0%.
