Things got heated last night in Mississauga. Windsor travelled up to play the Power, defeating them 110-102. In the fourth quarter, as tensions built, DeAndre Thomas and Eric Petty Jr. were jawing behind the play. Not long after, the two began to fight before it was broken up.
As a result, DeAndre Thomas was assessed a 5-game suspension for fighting. On the other side, Eric Petty Jr. received a 4-game suspension for fighting.
Dominique Buckle, Erik Parker and R.J. Wells were each given a 2-game suspension for their roles in the altercation. The three players left Windsor’s bench during the scuffle between Thomas and Petty Jr. For Mississauga, George Williams, Daryl McCoy and Ashton Smith were handed 2-game suspensions as well.
Thomas will miss the remaining 5 games of the regular season. Buckley, Parker and Wells will miss both home games this weekend, but will be back for Monday’s away game in Ottawa.
The suspensions to Dominique Buckley, Erik Parker and R.J. Wells were later dismissed. DeAndre Thomas’s 5-game suspension is still being upheld.
