Sick of the snow? There’s an end in sight.

Environment Canada says warm air will arrive Friday and bring with it fog and substantial amounts of rain.

A deepening low pressure system will be approaching Southern Ontario Friday evening and is expected to move north of the regions on Saturday.

On Friday morning widespread fog patches and areas of freezing drizzle are likely. As the southerly winds increase later on Friday, the fog and freezing drizzle will dissipate, according to Environment Canada.

Late Friday evening, and towards midnight, rain will move into Southwestern Ontario.

Environment Canada says between 10 and 20 millimetres of rain are expected and for most areas the rain will end Saturday afternoon.

Daytime highs on Friday, Saturday and Sunday may be around 5°C and may even reach 7°C.
