Windsor has seen more than its fair share of snow this winter, spring is still 54 days away, and the City of Windsor is still looking for Snow Angels.
The Snow Angels service is offered to seniors and persons with physical disabilities within the Windsor community.
The city says that so far 128 people have signed up to help, but the number of people in need is greater than the volunteer force at hand. On average, the City sees about 400 residents requesting snow removal help throughout the winter.
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. For high school students, it is a great way to round out your 40-hour Community Involvement requirement.
All registered volunteers will be entered into a draw to win a free iPad or one of five full-year passes to Windsor’s new Adventure Bay Family Water Park.
Please call 311 for more information or to register. Information is also available at www.citywindsor.ca.
