The community is rallying behind a family who lost everything in a fire last week.

Coming home from a hockey game in Leamington, the boys’ hockey team from Tecumseh Vista Academy witnessed a house fire in Lakeshore. When they discovered it was the home of  fellow student, Spencer Hyland, they decided to help him and his family by holding a benefit hockey game on Monday December 2nd at 12:30pm at Tecumseh Arena.

Staff and students at Vista and E.J Lajeunesse have come together to plan this event.  Stevenson Bus Lines  has agreed to transport 460 students to and from the game, and the town of Tecumseh has made the arena available for the game.

All donations, large and small, will go directly to the family.
