OPP in Essex are investigating a hit and run accident.

Police say that the crash took place sometime overnight between November 26th and November 27th on Fairview Avenue East in the Town of Essex. A burgundy Ford Thunderbird was struck while parked on the side of the road.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene westbound on Fairview Avenue.
