Gordie Howe To Serve As The Downtown Windsor Holiday Parade Grand Marshal

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association announced that Gordie Howe will serve as the grand marshal for this year’s Winter Fest Holiday Parade.
The parade is scheduled for 3pm on Saturday November 30th along Ouellette Avenue in Downtown Windsor, and is comprised of marching bands, fanciful floats, colourful costumes, inflatables, super heroes, street performers and many more.
“We are honoured and thrilled that Mr. Howe will herald in the holiday season,” DWBIA Chair Larry Horwitz said in a news release. “Mr. Hockey is an icon in our community and beyond, and his presence in our city will inspire generations of fans.”
In addition, the DWBIA is also providing fans with an opportunity to meet Mr. Howe at a VIP Reception to be held on Friday November 29th from 6pm to 8pm at The Boom Boom Room in downtown Windsor. Tickets are $50 each and are available at the DWBIA’s Offices, 419 Pelissier Street; at Bob Reaume Sports, 4275 Tecumseh Road East; and online at Eventbrite.ca
